Happy National Cousins’ Day!!! With every cousin I have great memories with but today I shall focus my little cousin, Alyssa. She’s basically my little sister. We’ve done a lot of things together. Recently we took her to Cedar Point in Ohio. Best weekend ever! Now that she is somewhat older, she has this sense of humor that mirrors Kimberly and I. She is a trip. Usually every summer we go camping and she is the one who brings the glow sticks… like 200 glow sticks. And with those we deck ourselves out with them and go swimming in the dark. Those are the best times. A majority of our good memories come from camping.
Also! Happy National Blow Your Mind Day! Here are some great facts that will blow your mind…
-Vending machines kill 4 times more people than sharks do. (Sharknado versus vending machine?)
-There is a type of jellyfish that can live forever. The Turritopsis nutricula jellyfish really does exist. Apparently scientists are studying its regenerating properties for humans.
– It is estimated that millions of trees have been planted due to squirrels forgetting where they buried their nuts.
-A snail can sleep for 3 years. That must be nice…. a nice coma.
-There are over 60,000 miles of blood vessels in a human body.
-The total weight of all the ants on Earth equal the weight of all the humans.
-There is enough fuel in a full tank in a Jumbo Jet to drive a normal car around the world 4 times.
-Mosquito repellents don’t repel. They hide you. The spray blocks the mosquitoes’ sensors so they can’t find you.
-Alien Hand Syndrome is an unusual neurological disorder where the hand of a person seems to react on its own. The person can’t control it.
-A person will produce enough saliva to fill two average size swimming pools in their lifetime.
-A portion of the water you drink has already been drunk by someone else.
-There’s a 75% chance that if you are 16 or older you have already met the person you will marry.
-A kangaroo can’t jump unless its tail is touching the ground.
-A compressed spring weighs more than a relaxed one.
You know what still blows my mind to this day? And I really shouldn’t be surprised anymore. Whenever my sister and I are in the car and we are singing our little hearts out then kinda stop at the same time, talk for a bit, go silent, then start right at the same point. I’m not talking like the beginning of a line. I talking mid sentence. It’s so crazy. It happens A LOT!
Go out with a cousin and find some things that will blow your mind to learn!!!!
